Author Guidlines

New Submission Guidelines for Authors

  1. The manuscript is written in Indonesian, English, or Arabic according to the criteria of good and correct writing.
  2. The content of the manuscript is related to the focus and scope of ISLAMIC PEDAGOGY: Journal of Islamic Education.
  3. Every manuscript submitted to this journal must be scientific (research articles/book reviews, etc.), original, and not previously published and/or submitted to any journal or media. Authors must sign a declaration letter guaranteeing this by confirming the submission checklist.
  4. All manuscripts are submitted to the editorial board of ISLAMIC PEDAGOGY: Journal of Islamic Education online, where authors register as writers and/or offer to be reviewers. If authors encounter issues with online submission, do not hesitate to contact the journal's editorial office at islamicpedagogy@stisummulayman.ac.id.
  5. Authors submit manuscripts thru the ISLAMIC PEDAGOGY: Journal of Islamic Education OJS portal and confirm via email at islamicpedagogy@stisummulayman.ac.id by attaching the author's biography (latest curriculum vitae in soft copy) and the article's originality statement.
  6. Due to the double-blind policy, authors must remove any identifying traces (name and email address) from the submitted manuscript file.
  7. The length of the article is approximately 6,000 to 10,000 words with 1.5 spacing, typed in MS-Word, using Times New Roman font size 12 on A4 paper (margins: right, left, top, and bottom 2 cm).
  8. The abstract must be:
  • Written in Indonesian, English, and Arabic (three languages).
  • One paragraph with a maximum of 250 words.
  • Does not contain unusual quotes or abbreviations.
  • Presents a synopsis of the entire article.
  • Starting with the broad context of the research, followed by (narrowing down) the specific background of the research.
  • Explaining the objectives, methods and procedures, core results/findings, and conclusions of the research.
  • Highlighting new or important aspects of the research
  • Understandable by various groups (avoid using jargon)
