Abstract

Da'wah is the activity of calling and inviting people to the path of truth. The da'wah phenomenon today is developing rapidly and dynamically with the presence of information technology and the internet, allowing da'wah to be carried out in cyberspace. This study aims to describe the da'wah phenomenon that occurs in cyberspace, especially on YouTube. This is important to examine to see the effect of the presence of communication and information technology on the development of da'wah in cyberspace. Therefore, this research method uses a qualitative phenomenological approach, with the aim of being able to describe the facts as they are. The results of this study found that the development of da'wah in cyberspace is increasingly rapid, even the response and feedback from the congregation is quite positive, as can be seen from the responses of the congregation that can be seen in each da'wah post. This study provides suggestions for the science of da'wah, namely how to improve the mass communication skills of preachers in cyberspace. Therefore, if da'wah is able to respond to this, it will be able to decorate the rubrics in cyberspace, so that the convergence of da'wah forms can become a new face of da'wah in the digital era.
