Financial literacy is crucial for individuals to make informed decisions regarding their financial resources. This study aims to improve financial literacy and savings habits among children aged 13-16 at the Haqqul Mubin Integrated Dayah, a pesantren-based educational center in Indonesia, specifically in Aceh. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, we examined the effectiveness of a community service program in teaching the concept and benefits of saving to children. The results showed that although most children understand the importance of saving, they have not yet developed a regular savings habit. This study emphasizes the need for motivation, easily accessible savings facilities, and systematic education about the benefits of saving. The program was enthusiastically received by both children and teachers, indicating a strong interest in adopting a more structured savings system. By instilling financial literacy and savings habits from an early age, children can be empowered to manage their finances wisely, avoid consumptive behavior, and prepare themselves for future financial challenges. These findings have implications for policymakers, educators, and parents seeking to promote financial literacy and responsible financial behavior in both boarding and non-boarding children, particularly at Dayah Haqqul Mubin.
